Sebagabo is named in posthumous honour of a much valued and respected Ranger.
In 2005 his right hand was caught in a snare and, as a consequence, became infected. The vets intervened and had to amputate the hand in order to save Sebagabo from blood poisoning. They had no choice of course but it was a difficult day for all concerned, not least Sebagabo. He is clearly a resilient animal as, since then, he has made a great recovery both physically and psychologically and, happily, has found ways of coping with his disability.
